About the project:
As one of the best ways to reach young people is in the school, most of the project activities will be held in the school environment. With this project, we want to focus on the topic of Sustainable development goals (defined by UN, you can check them here as these goals stress important issues that our societies need to address. And the main tool we will be working with are art and creative techniques of any kind (from visual to performing).

During the 25 days of mARTtinen project, we will make several visits to local school where volunteers will have an active role in setting up art related activities and workshops for students. And in the end of the project, together with school and Marttinen international team, each volunteer will be given a chance to plan and run a bigger art event in school.

At the same time, volunteers will have a space to work on their own personal art project connected to the topic of sustainable development goals. A volunteer’s ideas and work can help to make this topic more visible on the Marttinen’s premises.
