My name is Marina

Hello, my name is Marina and I am the new Spanish volunteer. I live in Hondarribia, a small town close to France in the Basque Country. I studied graphic design and before continuing with my studies or entering the working world, I have decided to participate in this project as a period of reflection to think about what to do with my future. I decided that this period of reflection would be beneficial for me as well as for other people and that is why I am here, ready to help as much as possible and more.

During these four years I have studied graphic design and I have also been working as a nanny for several years. Joining my two passions, children and the world of art and design, I plan to create different activities where children can express themselves freely using music, dance, painting, writing…

I arrived in Slovenia a week ago and so far, my first impressions and experiences are going great. I think I have fit in well with the team, they are all very nice to me, they even had a great detail, they made me a birthday + welcome party.

The apartment I am staying in is very cozy and is located in the center of Zagorje, which makes it well connected to both the center and the school. My roommate is a sweetheart, I am very comfortable with her, I think we fit well together.

After the nine months that I will be here in Zagorje, I hope to take with me a good experience to learn different values and skills that will help me to improve as a person and to create a better Marina in the future.

Projekti prostovoljstva v okviru Evropske solidarnostne enote mladim nudijo priložnosti za prostovoljsko delo. Odgovarjati morajo na pomembne potrebe družbe, prispevati h krepitvi skupnosti in ob tem prostovoljcem omogočati, da pridobivajo uporabne izkušnje, veščine in kompetence za svoj osebni, izobraževalni, socialni, državljanski in profesionalni razvoj, s čimer se izboljšuje njihova zaposljivost.
