PictureHello everyone. My name is Elena, I’m from Spain and I’m new EVS volunteer in Mladinski center Zagorje ob Savi for next six months.

I decided to go here by chance, I saw the post on Facebook and I was wondering »why not«–  it’s now or never! I was searching for an EVS project some months ago so definitly I wanted to try this experience. It’s great opportunity that at least once in live we have to live, it’s easy. I trust that I can learn new skills with this programme, this personal learning depends on me.

Right now, I just arrived two weeks ago and I feel that I am adapted generally.

Of course, there are good things and other not too good ones, but it’s the beginning so I’m going to try change the last ones. One of the good things living here is that there’s a possibility to wake up and see this wonderfull landscape. My region in Spain is totally different, so this montains and their green colour make me happy. Being in Slovenia is just so excited for me to start discovering each part of this beautiful country.

Before coming here, I thought that 6 months is a long time away, but here I realize that time flies, more if it’s summer, so I have to gain advantage every moment since now.

So this can be a new beginning for meet new people, improve my English, to discover Slovenia and other countries, know myself, and learn new skills. In the coming weeks, I will tell you how the whole process goes.
